The Movies To See:

Everyone loves to go to the movies! The best parts are the action, passion, and the jump scares. Not all movies have these though that does not mean they are not worth seeing. People go to movies for entertainment; it is the best thing since sliced bread! : ) The new upcoming movies that are a must see is Barber Shop: The Next Cut, Alice Through the Looking Glass, and Finding Dory. These three movies have lots of potentials to be the next block buster biggie! With their comedy, adventure, and a little silliness these movies will be ones to see. I’m going to cover the next top three movies giving a summary and a rating based on research!

The First move we are going to look at is Barber Shop: The Next Cut! This is the third movie in this series of comedic movies. Some big stars in this movie are Ice Cube, Nicki Minaj, Anthony Anderson, Deon Cole, Utkarsh Ambudkar, and many others. Some of these stars are from the first and second movies. The biggest one you should notice is Ice Cube. It will be in theaters starting April 15, 2016, in most theaters! Synopsis of the movie: The Barber shop with trying to stay afloat in the midst of harsh economic times. They merge the barbershop and the beauty salon into one business. With this big change the times of male bonding are long gone; replaced with now sassy female co-workers and high-spirited clientele. This movie got a movie rating of: 76% of people liked it.

The next movie to talk about is the adorable sequel to Finding Nemo, Finding Dory! If you loved the first movie with the voices of actors like Ellen DeGeneres, Ty Burrell, Albert Brooks, and more. It will be released out to theaters starting June 17, 2016! Synopsis of the movie: You see some original faces like Dory, Nemo, and Marlin. On a quest to find Dory’s Mother and Father. These new voices are being played by Diane Keaton and Eugene Levy. It will be a cute movie filled with action and adventure with hopefully a little whale talk from Dory! : ) This movie got a rating of: No Score yet!

The Last movie is a beloved book turned into a movie. Alice Through the Looking Glass! This movie was first written as a book Lewis Carroll in 1871 and is now being re-imagined into a movie. IT will be released into theaters on May 27, 2016. Some returning cast members will be Johnny Depp, Mia Wasikowska, Anne Hathaway, and some others. The synopsis of the movie: Alice after coming back to the real world and travels around the world returns to the magical world of wonderland. Where anything in your wildest dreams could happen! This place once filled with fun and adventure turns into a deadly place. Alice must go back in time to save the Mad Hatter before his time indefinitely runs out. This movie got a rating of: No Score yet
Movies are an iconic masterpiece that will never go away. These are just three of the newest movies coming out this year. I picked these movies out of a long list because these are the ones that popped out most to me. These movies may not be something you are interested in but these are not the only movies coming out to theaters soon.

Mason Jars Re-designed

Mason Jars were a big thing for canning vegetables and other types of food back in 1960’s. Now they are making a big comeback with this generation. These once again discovered jars are being repurposed again as jazzy pencil holders, drink cups, and even flower pots. A big thing is painting or decorating the jars to add some creativity to any room or garden. Here I have linked the tutorial to where you can create these very pretty BEACH CHIC: PAINTED MASON JARS! The thing that drew me to these colorful jars was the way the paint was chipped in certain spots to show aging or lots of use. As I started looking into this very easy but creative craft, I found that it was quite easy to create these for yourself. The Materials needed were: Glass Mason Jars, Acrylic Paint, Paint Brush, Newspaper, Nail File, and Clear Acrylic Sealer. Not a huge list! The Mason Jars you can find at basically any walmart or grocery store for not very much money. At Target you can find a set of ten, thirty two ounce, for only $10.19. If you are just looking for a couple though there you should be able to find some at a local consignment store for only a few cents. A great tip if you want the paint to last is to add the acrylic paint sealer. You don’t have to exactly, but if you want the pain to stay on there longer without any excess chipping it would be best to add the sealant. When I tried to DIY the only main problem I had was making sure there was no moisture on my jars. If there is any moisture on the jar the paint will run and not stick to the jars as well. The worst thing is to have runny paint! : ( Once you paint over the jars to where the colors are very vibrant let them sit overnight to ensure they are nice and dry. Once you let them sit over night you are ready to make them look all beachy feeling with an aged look. The way you make it look distressed is you just take a nail file and run it over in places you want. No

Horoscopes for 2016!

By: Payton Wells
Horoscopes are a fun little thing that gives you a chance to get a glimpse of your future. Though horoscopes are a lot of fun, you should not live by them. If you live your life trying to make them come true then you could miss all the good times not listed. These Horoscopes are done monthly not daily, and I will try my best to get the greatest ones for you! If you want a daily one I use this website.

Aquarius (January 20 to February 18): Your friendly attitude and inquisitive nature make you a natural conversationalist, which helps attract even more people to your vast web of acquaintances. Your chill vibe puts your friends at ease and makes you more approachable to new people looking for a new friend.

Pisces (February 19 to March 20): This month will be excellent to treat yourself to something special, so plan a day at the spa or check out your favorite museum. Books are of special value and delight to you now; read every one you can get your hands on with curiosity and abandon. This month will be a time where it’s filled with curiosity, so take some risks and put yourself out there!

Aries (March 21 to April 19): Your pie-in-the-sky ideas work as if by magic some of the time, but at times like this you need some concrete instructions to follow. Your destination bound this month, and you don’t really care where you end up as long as it’s far from home. When wanderlust grips you this hard, it’s hard to turn your back on it. Love has a way of finding you, and the playful way you approach romance has potential flames waiting in the lunch line just to be close to you.

Taurus (April 20 to May 20): At the beginning of this month there will be some bumps in the road, but keep your head as this month progresses your luck turns around. Your friendly attitude makes others feel really comfortable sharing the details of their lives with you. Referees and people in similar positions of authority are your best allies on these days. There’s a lot of flirtatious energy flying around, but don’t be nervous. It’s all in good fun with maybe a possible chance to turn serious.

Gemini (May 21 to June 20): The more mysterious someone or something is, the more you want to know about him, her, or it! Your curiosity is insatiable, and you won’t stop until you solve the puzzle. Your friends know all of the hot spots, so if you want to eat at the trendiest restaurants or see the coolest bands, ask around to find out what the hottest tickets in your city are. You can find out just about anything you want to know through your far-reaching social network. From the bust beginning of the month you have neglected some things that needs to be taken care of, so while getting a leaky faucet fixed isn’t fun, it’s a whole lot better than ignoring it and coming home to a flood in the future.

Cancer (June 21 to July 22): You’re able to see things in a totally new light, and now that one of your views has changed, you might want to go back and rethink all of your other stances. Hmmm, who would have thought that your life would change so radically due to something that seemed so mundane?! There are a lot of things to distract you, and it’s easy to get wrapped up in your favorite TV show rather than do your homework or clean something around the house. Prioritize your to-do list, then attack the items on it one by one. And don’t hesitate to ask for help when you need it!

Leo (July 23 to August 22): You have a lot of personality clashes with people you have to work closely with, and when there’s nowhere to run you can start to feel really claustrophobic. Taking lots of breaks will help break up the monotony. Parties and other fun events start to fill your social calendar, but don’t overbook yourself. Plan enough time at each event so you can spend some time chatting one-on-one with people you haven’t seen in awhile. You get to rub elbows with celebrities or people you really admire, so be sure to have a pen and paper handy to get an autograph or write down some valuable words of advice.

Virgo (August 23 to September 22):
If you feel like people are wasting your time, you’re not about to keep quiet about it. You know that person ahead of you in line who’s buying 25 things despite being in the 10 items or less line? You’re not above calling them out for it. You might get some stares or fingers pointed in your direction, but your time is money and you don’t suffer fools kindly. Whew. Anyway, so you get back on track with the Universe when you spend your spare moments organizing your stuff because — let’s face it — when things get messy for you Virgos, you can barely function until everything’s back in its tidy little place.

Libra (September 23 to October 22):
There’s a sexy intellectual vibe going on between you and someone you meet through work or school, and even if you’re committed to other people the chemistry is hard to deny. Morality, manners and civility all still matter, though, so be sure to end one thing before you start another. You feel like you’ve worked hard for what you are getting, and maybe that’s true. But, have you ever stopped to think about what it might look like to other people who have worked just as hard? It might be time to share some of the wealth, Libra. You like balance and fairness, so this shouldn’t be a big deal. It seems like you’re on the go constantly, but it’s still important to take care of yourself.

Scorpio (October 23 to November 21):
Something’s definitely out of sync, but you can’t quite put your finger on it. Instead of struggling against the current, turn and swim parallel to the shoreline. You won’t get as far, but at least you’ll be less frustrated. Your mind’s eye is alert, and it will guide you toward all that is good and attainable. Don’t ignore those pesky little musings; they’re trying to point you in the right direction. Tiny details try to slip by you, but you’re too quick and observant for them to succeed. If you’re going to sign something, you’re going to read every word of it. Possibly twice. A lot of private information could come out, but how you deal with it will make all the difference. Hold your head high if others try to bring you down. You’re impervious to their efforts.

Sagittarius (November 22 to December 21):
You hear a lot of inspirational phrases and metaphors that seem to speak directly to you, and don’t ignore that little voice in your head that’s telling you to go in one direction instead of the other. Intuition is a valuable commodity, and you’re in control of it on these days. Don’t trade it for anything. Your life could seem commonplace to the naked eye, but you have bigger visions than most people. Once that Sag stubbornness kicks in, you refuse to let the little things get you down.

Capricorn (December 22 to January 19):
You may run into a conflict of interest, when it will be necessary for you to choose between two very difficult options. Do you go with your head or your heart? There are advantages and disadvantages to both choices. You can’t help but zero in on one magnetic person in the room, but guess what? You’re not the only one interested. Sometimes the hunt is more satisfying than the capture. You’re capable of pulling off a lot, so anything from performing magic tricks to completing a major work project are completely doable. The more baffling to those around you, the better.

Roger Fenton

The Roger Fenton from London(2)Roger Fenton was born in 1819 and died in 1869. Mr. Fenton is most famous for his pictures of war. He was hired to take pictures to capture the hardships of the war. The war was in the Crimea Peninsula (1855). Fenton’s photographs were the first large-scale photographic documentation of war. Roger Fenton traveled to many places including Paris, Ukraine, the Crimea Peninsula, and Wales. His work was published in the London News, his work was converted into woodblocks so it could be published. His education included a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University College in London in 1840, and he also studied the new negative-positive collodion process at the studio of Gustave Le Gray. Mr. Fenton was one of the most celebrated and influential photographer in England during the medium’s “golden age” of the 185go(1)0s. He founded the Photographic Society in 1853, which was later called the Royal Photographic Society. My favorite work of his was his most famous picture called, The valley of the shadow of death. It depicts a ravine scattered with cannonballs just left there by passing soldiers.

Brassia

scary man(1)Brassia was born in 1899 and died in 1984. He became known for his photographs of Paris nightlife in the 1930s. Images of the Eiffel Tower is some of his best work. Brassai captured the essence of the city in his photographs, published as his first collection in the 1933 book entitled Paris de nuit (Paris by Night). He has traveled to many places around the world like: Romania, Paris, Budapest, and Berlin to take pictures for his work. Brassia’s 56-265841-paris-exposition-universelle(1)education consisted of studying paintings and sculptures at the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts in Budapest. Some of his works that have became my most favorite are the ones capturing the Eiffel Tower at night. They are so beautiful with how he positions the camera to catch the light bouncing off the tower. His pictures are truly a work of art.

Ellen Von Unwerth

choo choo(1) Ellen Von Unwerth was born in 1954 and is still alive today at the age of 62. Unwerth first found her fame when she first photographed Claudia Schiffer (a German model). Her work has been published in top magazines like Vogue, Vanity Fair, Interview, The Face, Arena, Twill, L’Uomo Vogue and I-D. Most of her photographs have been published in fashion magazines. Ellen has traveled all around to places like: Europe, New York, Los Angeles, and Germany. One of her most favorite places to visit is New York! Unwerth had an odd education experience after she graduated high cool hippie lady with mad picture skills(1)school, the circus caught her attention in Munich, and she was hired as an assistant, doing magic shows and stunts as well. It was not a degree but it was definitely an experience that will last a lifetime! My favorite picture of hers is the piece of her work in a Vogue ad. It depicts two girls holding hands over a railroad. This reminded me of me and my best friend hanging out and exploring around town.
