Self-love is very very important. I know that it may not seem as important as other topics, but it really is. I believe that everyone should have self-love. There are some days where life gets hard and you start to question every little thing about yourself, but you need to stop that. Putting yourself down is not healthy, it just causes even more damage. Sure, some things may not turn out the the way you want them to and some things can get tough, but you can get through every single obstacle that heads your way. There are a few ways to be able to love and accept yourself.
First of all, you need to forgive yourself. You have to let go of your past and realize that you did your best you could at the time. Yeah, things might’ve not turned out the way you wanted them to, but you really tried hard. Now, as time goes by, you are growing, changing, and you are beginning to understand more about yourself. Try to let go of the past that is haunting you.
Secondly, you need to stop scaring yourself. Thoughts are very powerful, I know this by experience. Thoughts can get overwhelming and scary. They can get hard to escape, but there is always a way to break out of them. Remember, just because you’ve been overthinking something, that doesn’t mean that that’s the final outcome. Everything will be okay.
Another thing that you must remember is that you have to be patient and gentle with yourself. Don’t beat yourself up for every little mistake you make, you are not your mistakes. Treat yourself the same way you would treat someone you really love. Think of it this way: How long would you stay friends with someone that talks to you the way that you talk to yourself? Not very long, huh?
Start to think about how much you’re really worth. Look at yourself, you are worth everything. You might not find your worth right now, but sooner or later, you will. It takes time to appreciate yourself, but it isn’t impossible. You’ll get there.
