Kevin Carter was a Photojournalist that worked in Africa, he captured the many moments of suffrage and death. He was questioned by many people on why he didn’t help the people he photographed. For example his photo called Starving Sudanese Toddler features a little girl laying on the ground starving as a vulture waits behind her. This photo won him a Pulitzer Prize but was put into questioning on why he didn’t offer the little girl some food. Carter even claimed that he waited 10 minutes for the vulture to open it’s wings. These rumors caused him to have depression and to eventually take his own life. He didn’t travel much but he had been all over Africa. He studied regular Journalism in high school and college knowing pretty early on what he wanted to do.
