Aztecas Soccer Club is a nonprofit organization in the state of Arkansas. It was initiated by a group of Hispanic parents who selected young and talented players. Their goal was to create opportunities for the players to play at a more competitive level in state and nationwide. This would give these young players the chance to expand their opportunities to be noticed by college coaches and play at a more professional level. Also offer lower tuition costs for low income Hispanic families.
Aztecas has grown to have a total of five teams from the ages 8 to 18. Parents volunteer as coaches and managers to help the players receive more training for their future matches. For example, Marcela Lara has not only been the director for the club but has been managing a team for 5 years. “My deepest dream is to see the club succeed and grow, and hopefully make a difference in a young player’s life,” mentioned Lara.
Aztecas is still looking for more young players to join the club, and the managers will try their best to help them enjoy their time there. With the U15 team being the most populated, they will be seeking for more talent as they hunt for more championships.
